A Little Paper Piecing Project

I thought I would share a little paper piecing project with you today. I have been working with a new stamp set called Fifth Avenue Floral. This stamp is fun because it looks fabulous stamped on white or colored cardstock and you don't have to watercolor/color it if you don't want to. It's a very versatile set! I used the new matching Oasis Designer Series Paper. I haven't used Basic Gray in a while and it was fun to break that out. The large flower is stamped with Basic Grey on Baja Breeze paper and cut out. I have 4 layers shown here. Each layer is popped up with a dimensional. I finished it off with my Whisper white taffeta ribbon. If you click on the photo you will get a closer look at the layers on the big flower!

If one gift is good 3 is better!

I love these little boxes! I made them out of the Sale-A-Bration Designer Series Paper--Delicate Dots. I am having fun with this paper. I am still deciding what treats I am going to put into my little Tower. Of course something chocolate! 5/8 Certainly Celery Poly Twill Ribbon is used to hold the boxes together.!

We had a FANTASTIC Birthday Party!

Well my baby turned 7 this week and last night we had our first ever girls sleepover. It was so much fun! (I must admit I was a wee bit nervous--having done this several times with the boys...) Each of the girls was so much fun! We really enjoyed ourselves. Bailey wanted to have her own stamping class with her friends. So--we put together a mini scrapbook and headed into the stampin' studio. David took a couple of pictures for the girls to put into the album. It was truly a great time. This is definitely one of the reasons WHY I enjoy being a demonstrator. I LOVE spending time crafting with my daughter! This is a memory I will treasure for a long time to come.

Flitting By in a Bucket!

I made these sweet little Butterflies to put in Bailey's room. A few months ago I added some fun decor elements on her wall. I made this to add to the decorations in there. Tonight is her party and I am looking forward to giving her the little gift for her room. I can't believe my baby is SEVEN!! I can't get enough of these Bigz die cuts. So tonight... 5 little girls will be sleeping over for a party. Guess I better get ready to fire up the Big shot for some craftin' fun!! Wish me luck and at least a little bit of sleep!

A little Something for you....

I made these little treats for my new club members! I am hoping they like the Milk Duds as much as I do. Oooh. I think I ate a few too many... I used the Sale-A-Bration stamp sets "Yummy" and well I think this project just might be!! The paper is Delicate Dots DSP and I used chocolate chip ink. Oh, and don't forget the fun little Fusion Flowers! They are always a fun embellishment on your project. They are made from felt and come in assorted colors. Tomorrow I have a few more samples to show you. No time to photograph them right now but I can't wait to share them with you!

Just one More Valentine!

I made a quick little Valentine's Card today and I wanted to share it with you! I am frantically working to get my teacher's gifts and family cards completed! Whew. No card is complete without some bling so this card for Bailey has Dazzling Diamonds on the edges of the heart and on the middles of the flowers. The other thing my little girl likes (wonder where she gets it from...) is the 1 1/4 grosgrain ribbon. OOH so YUMMY!! Just the way she likes it!!

Some Last Minute Valentines!

I was just mailing off some last minute Valentine's Day cards and I thought I would share one of my favorites with you! I just can't get enough of this stamp set "Love You Much" from our new catalog. Every time I stamp with it I just feel happy. Evidently it makes my little girl feel the same way. Last night she had such a good time making a bag to put her Valentine's cards in. I was so impressed at her creativity. We have such great times together making crafts and stamping. It is one of the million things I love about having a little girl! This card is actually going to my grown son! I really miss him and I enjoy our visits together. He was here last weekend and I wanted to make sure that he knows he is loved --especially on Valentine's Day.

Happy Bird Day!

I love this cute little bird from the Good Friends stamp set! I am holding a really fun class this month entitled "Birds of a Feather Flock Together". You can click on my calendar below to see the info on the class. We will be using Good Friends stamp set, Good Morning Sunshine Designer Series paper and MATCHING chipboard!! I can't wait. I just thought it would be fun for the little bird to say "Happy Bird Day!". The sentiment stamp is from another set: Pun Fun. I hope you enjoy the bold bright blue it is from our In Color Family (Pacific Point Blue). I guess I have Pacific Point Blue on the brain because all day I have been dreaming about my trip next month to HAWAII. I am going to Kona, Hawaii on an incentive trip with Stampin' Up! I am really looking forward to it. I have NEVER been there!! Aloha :)

Another Sale-A-Bration Goodie for you!

I made this card for a friend who has been really sick the past week. I hope it gets to her in time! I thought it would be fun to cut out a few extra flowers to tuck inside so that when she opens it they will fall out! I used the Garden Greetings stamp set that is new in this catalog! I love this set. It has a greeting for all reasons! I used the Delicate Dots Designer Series Paper and Sahara Sand for the card base. I hope she feels better soon!

Little Sale-A-Bration Goodies!

Here's a little card I made using the Sale-A-Bration goodies! I used a technique called "faux" dry embossing. It's a simple technique! You punch out your favorite shape and use snail to glue it flat to the same color paper. This gives you that look of dry embossing without the extra time! It sure is a fun little technique. This is the brand new heart to heart punch (#113694 $15.95) from the Spring/Summer Idea Book & Catalog 2009. The stamp sets used for this card are Best Wishes & More (#111602) and the heart stamp image is from the new Sale-A-Bration catty: Polka Dot Punches (113788). I felt inspired to make this card after stamping with Robin Merriman last week!
